I’m Betty Nourparvar, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and EMDR trained therapist. I provide psychotherapy to individual adolescents and adults in California. My goal is to help my clients increase their sense of well being and help them reach their full potential.
I incorporate a blend of approaches to meet each of my client’s individual needs at any given time to provide the most comprehensive and specialized care.

My Approach
It is my goal as a therapist to empower and inspire you towards healing by creating a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
Getting to know you at a pace that feels right for you will help me to understand what is at the core of what you are struggling with. Learning about your strengths and resources as well as where you are stuck and why you are stuck, I will stay engaged, listen and reflect back.
By working together to I hope to uncover unresolved areas that inform your experience in the present and support you in the process of change.
My hope is that you will see a shift in your responses to prior triggers and in your ability to self-regulate.
